How Grandtake works

Grandtake is a prediction market: you trade on the outcomes of real-world events and get paid in USDC for being right. Prices move with the crowd's collective estimate, so a market trading at 70% means the crowd thinks there's a 70% chance it happens.

1

Create an account

Sign up with email, Google, or your crypto wallet. It takes under a minute.

2

Deposit USDC

Add USDC on the Base network with card, bank transfer, or by transferring crypto. Your funds stay yours.

4

Place a trade

5

Collect winnings

When the market resolves, each winning share pays out $1 in USDC. Withdraw anytime.

How prices work

Grandtake uses an automated market maker (AMM). Instead of matching buyers and sellers, a smart contract always quotes a price based on how many Yes vs No shares exist. The more people buy Yes, the higher the Yes price climbs (and No falls). The price, between 0% and 100%, is the market's live probability estimate. Every winning share settles at exactly $1.

Fees

Grandtake charges a flat 2% platform fee on trades. The exact fee in dollars is shown on the trade panel before you confirm - no hidden costs.

Your funds are non-custodial

Deposits live in a smart contract on Base, and only you can withdraw your own balance. Grandtake never holds your private keys and cannot take your money. The contracts are public and verifiable on Basescan:

FAQ

Is my money safe?

Your funds are held in an audited smart contract on Base, not by Grandtake. Only you can withdraw your own balance - the contract enforces it. Grandtake cannot move or take your funds.

How are markets resolved?

Each market lists a clear resolution source and criteria. When the event concludes, the market is resolved against that source and winning shares are paid out in USDC. See the public resolution history for every past resolution.

How do I withdraw?

Go to your Wallet, tap Withdraw, choose USDC, and confirm. Funds return to your connected wallet on Base, usually within a couple of minutes.

What is USDC?

USDC is a regulated stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. One USDC is always worth one dollar, so your balance never swings with crypto volatility.

What is the Base network?

Base is a fast, low-cost Ethereum layer-2 network built by Coinbase. Grandtake settles all trades and payouts on Base for cheap, near-instant transactions.

How do I get USDC?

Buy USDC directly in the app with a card or bank transfer, or transfer USDC you already hold to your wallet on the Base network.
